How to avoid dead ends along the path

Common pitfalls along the path and what other DMs suggested as a workaround and/or rectification of the situation...

 

TPK-liable spots:

 

- The Grell in Jzadirune can lead to a TPK. DMs should use warnings for the PCs if they approach its lair before they are at least level 2 or better 3. See here for more details on how bad this encounter can turn out to be.

 

- The final battle in the Malachite Fortress against Kazmojen and his gang can be devastating, if the group doesn't rest before rushing in. Be prepared to have the Striders help out there or nudge them towards a rest to full before they take them on.

 

- Aushanna

 

Story missing plot hooks / party gives up
